Health Care Academy

Below are description of each of the

health career paths students will have

the option to choose from:

Dental Assisting

Students choosing the Dental Assisting

Program as their career preference will

learn the skills needed to work in a dental

office after graduation. Following successful

completion of the Dental Assisting course, students will be eligible to take

the (CODA) Commission on Ohio Dental Assistants Certification Board Exam.

Students will also be eligible to earn their Dental Radiography Certificate after

completing all assigned course work.

Nurse Assisting

Students choosing the Nurse Assisting Program as their career preference

will learn both the basic and advanced level training necessary to become

a Nurse Assistant. Following successful completion of the nurse assisting course,

clinical experience and internship, students will be eligible to test for

State Tested Nurse Assistant (STNA) certification.

Pharmaceutical Technology

Students choosing the Pharmaceutical Tech

Program as their career preference will learn

both the basic and advanced level training

necessary to become a Pharmaceutical

Technician. Following successful completion

of the pharmaceutical tech course, students

will be eligible to take the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB)

National Certification Exam and gain credential as a Certified Pharmacy

Technician (C.Ph.T).
